Newark, DE. - The men's lacrosse team fell to Wilmington, 19-2, on Saturday afternoon in CACC action.
Wilmington controlled the game from the opening face off, scoring seven first-quarter goals to build an early advantage. The Wildcats took a 9-0 lead into the break while out shooting the Golden Falcons.
Felician found a breakthrough in the third quarter when
Damian Carrigan finished a feed from
Liam Dunn for the Golden Falcons' first goal. Carrigan added his second goal in the fourth quarter, off an assist from
Stanley Labady II, accounting for both Felician scores on the day.Â
Despite the deficit, Felician continued to compete defensively with goalkeeper
Landon Santangelo making 13 saves over the first three quarter while facing heavy shot volume.
Ruairi O'Connor added four saves in the final period.
Ian Fleurant led Felician with five ground balls.
Felician will look to regroup as they host Chestnut Hill for a 4:00 PM start on Saturday, April 4.
