Waterbury, CT - Felician's run in the CACC Tournament came to an end Friday afternoon as the Golden Falcons fell to Goldey-Beacom, 20–13, in an elimination game at Municipal Stadium. Even with the season on the line and multiple deficits throughout the afternoon, Felician continued to answer back offensively, repeatedly battling its way back into contention behind several momentum-shifting rallies.
Goldey-Beacom jumped ahead with three runs in the opening inning, but Felician responded immediately with one of its biggest innings of the season in the third.
Haiden Walters opened the frame with a single before Jose David Medrano lined an RBI triple into the gap to put the Falcons on the board. Luis De La Cruz followed by reaching on an error that allowed another run to score, and Rocko Brzezniak tied the game with a sacrifice fly. Felician kept the pressure on from there as Braden Walsh ripped a two-run double into left field before Ernesto Polanco launched a two-run home run to left center, capping a seven-run inning that turned a 3–0 deficit into a 7–3 lead.
Goldey-Beacom answered again over the next two innings to reclaim the lead, but Felician continued to claw back.
Trailing 8–7 in the fifth, the Falcons mounted another response. Ian Vertucci drove in a run on a fielder's choice before Walters came through with a two-run single down the left field line, pushing Felician back in front, 10–8.
The Falcons refused to let the game slip away quietly later in the contest as well. Bryce Curry delivered an RBI double in the sixth inning, and Jose David Medrano added a sacrifice fly in the seventh to keep Felician within striking distance heading into the late innings.
Felician finished with 13 runs on 13 hits in the loss. Haiden Walters led the offense with three hits and three RBI, while Ernesto Polanco collected three hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs. Bryce Curry added two hits and an RBI, Matthew Scrivanic recorded two hits, and Jose David Medrano finished with two RBI.
Felician used five pitchers throughout the game, with Chris Laieta making the start before Collin Kratzer, Devin Malvasio, Gavin Enright, and Brandon Lynn all appeared in relief.
Despite the loss, the Golden Falcons now await the remainder of the East Region postseason picture as Felician remains in contention for a potential at-large bid into the 2026 NCAA East Regional Tournament.
