WALTHAM, Mass. – Felician College committed 28 turnovers in its 87-53 non-conference men's basketball loss to Merrimack College on Saturday evening at the Dana Center. The game concluded both teams' two-day stay at the Bentley University Tip-Off Classic.

Senior John Tello (Ridgefield Park, NJ) led Felician (0-2) with 12 points. However he was the only Golden Falcon to score in double figures. Junior forward Todd Fleming (Roselle, NJ) scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds.

Merrimack (2-0) outscored the Golden Falcons, 20-4, over the last 5 ½ minutes of the first half to take a 42-25 lead into the locker room. The Warriors carried that momentum into period two, moving ahead, 63-33, with 13:33 left to play, and 82-42 at the 5:31 mark.  

Merrimack put four scorers in double figures, paced by 21 points, nine assists and four steals from senior guard Roland Davis (Deer Park, NY). Mike Clifford (Danvers, MA) (5-7 FG, 3-3 FT) had 13 points and nine rebounds. The Warriors shot 55 percent from the floor and held Felician to 38-percent shooting.
