Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Sophomore guard Tajric Boggs (Coram, NY/Longwood) scored the first nine points of a late 13-2 run which allowed Felician College to pull away from visiting Dowling College for a 70-56 non-conference men's basketball victory during a rare Martin Luther King Day matinee at Job Gymnasium.
Felician (6-9) emerged from a first half that contained eight lead changes with a 32-31 advantage. The Golden Falcons never trailed in the second half, but were never ahead by more than five points for the first 15 minutes of period two.
But a three-point play and two free throws by Boggs put the hosts ahead, 53-46, with 4:57 to play. After two Dowling free throws, Boggs scored his team's next four points before Antoine Obery (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) completed the run with consecutive lay-ups for a 63-50 edge at 2:39. Felician would take its largest lead, 68-51, on a Boggs bucket with 0:30 remaining.
