Box Score BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – A late 9-0 run allowed the Concordia (N.Y.) College men's basketball team to pull away from visiting Felician College and earn an 81-73 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory on Saturday afternoon at the Meyer Athletic Center.
Felician (4-10, 2-5 CACC) led by as many as eight points in the first half before settling for a 32-29 halftime advantage. The contest continued in nip-and-tuck fashion for most of period two until Concordia broke a 54-54 tie with 8:47 to play by scoring nine consecutive points, including seven by freshman guard Andrew Peacock (Upper Marlboro, Md.).
Felician pulled to within 66-62 at the 5:13 mark on a three-point play by J.R. Pringley (Elizabeth, N.J.) and a lay-up by Will Thompson (Teaneck, N.J.). However, Clipper junior Tshyrad Oates (Union City, N.J.) followed with a three-point field goal, and the Golden Falcons never came closer than that seven-point deficit the rest of the way.
Pringley topped Felician with 18 points. Senior guard Anthony Obery (Roselle, N.J.) registered his first career double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Freshman guard Tim Massado (Wilmington, Del.) scored all 11 of his points in the second half.
Concordia (2-12, 2-6) placed five scorers in double figures, led by Peacock's 20 points. Jamie Holder (Milford, N.H) shot 8 for 13 from the floor and totaled 17 points and six assists.
The game's first 32 minutes features eight ties and 16 lead changes. Felician was held to 36-percent shooting from the floor. The Golden Falcons, who have lost six consecutive games, play at home for the first time in more than five weeks on Tuesday, when they entertain Nyack College at 8 p.m..
