Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Senior forward Jeyvi Miavivululu (Paterson, N.J./Paterson Catholic) canned a late tie-breaking jump shot and sophomore guard Damiun Moore (Manchester, N.J./Manchester Township) converted two clinching free throws as the Felician College men's basketball team earned its first victory of 2014-15 by downing visiting Holy Family University, 64-60, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.
Holy Family (10-4, 5-1 CACC) is tied for sixth in the most recent NCAA Division II East Region media poll. The Tigers entered the day as the only team in the 14-school CACC not to have lost a conference game.
Miavivululu completed the day with 18 points and seven rebounds. Felician (1-11, 1-5) also received 13 points and nine rebounds in 26 minutes from senior forward J.R. Pringley (Elizabeth, N.J./Linden). Junior guard Reggie Charles (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) topped HFU with 18 points, and classmate Isaiah Gans (Philadelphia, Pa./Redemption Christian Academy [N.Y.]) turned in 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Beginning with a three-point field goal by Gans that gave the Tigers a 52-51 edge, the game's lead changed hands six times in the final five minutes. When HFU junior forward Hunter Wysocki (Howell, N.J./Colts Neck) split a pair of free throws at the 0:53 mark, the teams were deadlocked for the fifth time, 60-60.
On the ensuing Felician possession, freshman Marko Kozul (Astoria, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) collected a pass at the right elbow and quickly sent the ball to Miavivululu a few feet from the baseline. Miavivululu rose from 17 feet away and swished home the go-ahead bucket at 0:37.1.
As time wound down on HFU, the Tigers missed on two perimeter jumpers and the ball went out of bounds to Felician. Moore was intentionally fouled, and with 9.5 ticks remaining, made a pair of foul shots to secure the win.
Holy Family struggled to make shots throughout the day. The Tigers finished at 29 percent from the floor, 6 for 42 from three-point range (14 percent) and 10 of 20 at the foul line. Junior swingman Marvin Crawford (Edison, N.J./J.P. Stevens) netted 11 points with nine rebounds and four assists for the visitors.

Felician then embarked on a 15-0 run, capped by a go-ahead Kozul putback with 4:13 left in the first half. HFU rebounded to tally the next nine points, before a late three by Felician's A.J. Kemp (Jersey City, N.J./Hudson Catholic) sent the hosts into the locker room trailing, 28-23. Felician led by as many as five points in period two.
