Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A 43-38 halftime lead for Felician men's basketball was undone by 58 second-half points by Frostburg State Saturday evening as the Bobcats escaped Triple J Gymnasium by a 96-87 score. The Golden Falcons move to 3-2 on the year.
Anas Amos (Newark, N.J. / Newark East Side) connected for a team-high 21 points with five rebounds as Etnik Peci (Pristina, Kosovo / Renaissance Academy) delivered 19 points to go with five boards and three steals. Angelo Santiago (Peekskill, N.Y. / Marist HS) made 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals, as Jonathan Edwards (Waterbury, Conn. / Waterbury Career Academy) led the team with nine boards and buried 11 markers.
Frostburg State shot 62.9 percent in the second half on 22-of-35 shots, compared to the Golden Falcons' 35.9 percent on 14-of-39. The Bobcats finished the night at 54.5 percent (36-of-66), making 8-of-16 threes and 16-of-19 free throws. Felician converted on 37.0 percent (30-of-81) from the field, making 13-of-33 threes and 14-20 from the line. The Bobcats held a slim 43-41 edge on the boards, while lead 46-30 in points in the paint and 29-5 on fastbreak points.
Felician opens CACC play this Wednesday with 16th-ranked Dominican at 8:00 p.m., following the women's team's matchup with the Chargers at 5:30 p.m.
