Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician University men's basketball team played host to Alliance in CACC play Wednesday, where the guests came out on top, 61-51.
Alliance opened the game on a run, leading 20-9 with just over seven minutes to play in the first half before Felician chipped away to cut the lead down to 27-24 at halftime. But once again, AU opened the second half on a run with 12 straight points, then shortly after bumping their lead to as much as 15 at 42-27.
Felician shot 29.5 percent (18-of-61) for the game, making 8-of-25 threes and 7-of-11 free throws, while Alliance made 35.8 percent (24-of-67) on 7-of-19 from behind the arc and 6-of-9 from the line. Alliance also led on the boards, 49-38, led by AU's Isayas Aris' 15 boards and Shir Moraidi's 11.
Anas Amos (Newark, NJ) led the Golden Falcons with 14 points, hitting on 2-of-8 threes, while Jamling Lama (Secaucus, NJ) came off the bench to go a perfect 3-for-3 on threes and 4-of-6 overall to finish with 11 points. Sean McCarthy (Cork, Ireland) led the team with 12 rebounds and Ebuka Nnagbo (Niagara Falls, NY) right behind him with 11. Julius David Jr. (Rutherford, NJ) totaled 10 points.
Head coach Ivan Lewis' team, now 4-10 overall (0-5 CACC) heads off for two straight CACC road games, starting at Holy Family Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and Bridgeport Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
