WORCESTER, MA – Felician Men's Lacrosse was on the road to face Assumption University in Worcester, MA Wednesday night. After a second period shut out, the Golden Falcons were defeated 22-6 in the contest.

Alfonso Guerrero (Bellmore, NY) and Filipe Correia (Brick, NJ) both caged two goals apiece while Robert Grasso (Islip, NY) and Jayden Basalatan (Matawan, NJ) recorded one.

To kick off the night, Guerrero put Felician on the board first with an unassisted goal, his sixth of the season. Assumption went on to post three back-to-back goals to put the hosts up 3-1 with 4:30 left to play in the first period. Grasso made it a one point game with an unassisted goal of his own to go into the second trailing, 5-2.

The Greyhounds recorded a seven goal second period to shut out the Golden Falcons only allowing the green-and-gold to get off four shots, one from Basalatan, Guerrero, and two by Jabes Escalante (Chelsea, MA). Well into the third period, Correia gave Felician another point on the scoreboard but found themselves in a 14 goal deficit. Fast forward to the final period, Correria posted his second goal of the night as well as Guerrero. In the final seconds of the night, Basalatan found the back of the net on an assist from Correia as the Golden Falcons were defeated 22-6.

Felician currently sits 1-1 overall and will be back on the field for its home opener at Tryon Field this Saturday to host Malone at 1:30pm
