Box Score BUFFALO, NY - Felician midfielder, Alfonso Guerrero (Bellmore, NY), caged four goals in the 19-6 loss to D'Youville Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, NY.
During the first quarter, the Golden Falcons held the 3-2 lead on goals from Jayden Basalatan (Matawan, NJ), Filipe Correia (Brick, NJ), and Guerrero. The host would tie it up and hold the 4-3 advantage in the second, but Correia scored his second goal of the contest on a man-up opportunity to tie at four. After three more Saints goals, Jabes Escalante (Chelsea, MA) would net green-and-gold point to enter halftime with a two goal deficit, 7-5.
D'Youville would hold Felician to two goals per quarter to give the Golden Falcons the non-conference loss. Guerrero and Basalatan would each post a goal, their second, to chip away at the lead, but the Saints offense kept piling on.
At the 40-seconds mark in the final stanza, Guerrero would score his final point of the afternoon as the Golden Falcons fell 16-9 during the frigid day.
Felician men's lacrosse drops to 1-4 overall and they're back on the field to face American International in Springfield, MA next Wednesday, March 15, at 4:00pm.
