Box Score EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician Men's Lacrosse welcomed Wilmington (Del.) University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up at Riggin Memorial Field Saturday evening.
The Wildcats were out in front with 5 goals in the first quarter to hold a 5-0 lead over the hosts. Jabes Escalante (Chelsea, MA) eventually put Felician on the board with under a minute left in the opening quarter to trail by four.
Right before halftime, Drew Gisinger (Beachwood, NJ) caged Felician's second goal of the afternoon, however, Wilmington posted one of their own to continue to edge Felician. Throughout the remainder of the game, the Golden Falcons were held to four more goals to drop 24-6 in the conference loss.
Jayden Basalatan (Matawan, NJ) led the offensive side with two goals while Escalante, Filipe Correia (Brick, NJ), and Alfonso Guerrero (Bellmore, NY) had a goal apiece.
Men's lacrosse drops to 3-7 overall and 2-3 in the CACC and will be back in action on Tuesday to face Dominican (N.Y.) for a 1:00pm start at Tryon Field.
