Box Score PHILADELPHIA, PA – Men's Lacrosse hit the road Thursday for an afternoon Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match up with Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia, PA. The squad ultimately dropped to the Griffins in a 16-4 loss.
In a low scoring first quarter, Timothy Manley Jr. (East Freetown, MA) tied the hosts at one with a Michael Annino (East Setauket, NY) assisted goal. The Griffins would take the advantage on another caged goal to enter the second quarter with a 2-1 lead.
The Golden Falcons would remain scoreless until the final seconds before halftime when Alfonso Guerrero (Bellmore, NY) netted the green-and-gold's second of the day. Coming out of the half, the squad sat in a 7-goal deficit that ultimately turned to 13. In the final moments of the contest, Felician was handed the 16-4 loss.
Manley Jr, Guerrero, Jayden Basalatan (Matawan, NJ), and Filipe Correia (Brick, NJ) recorded a goal each in the loss. Matthew Branco clinched three ground balls while Finn Crocker (South Hamilton, MA) and Cole Juengerkes (Islip Terrace, NY) had two caused turnovers.
Men's lacrosse dropped to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference. The squad will be back in action next Wednesday, April 12th, to host Georgian Court University at noon.
