Wilmington, DE. – The Golden Falcons came up short in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup on Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 4-3.
Felician showed resilience after facing an early two-goal deficit, rallying with a strong offensive performance in the second half. The Golden Falcons were outshot eleven–nine but made the most of their opportunities, scoring three goals on five shots on target.
Yusuf Mahmoud led the Golden Falcons with two goals, scoring once in each half, while Ayato Kaneko added a second-half tally. Sebastian Anaya and Andreas Mortensen each provided assists in the effort. In goal, Mathias Kristoffersen made his ninth start for the Golden Falcons and made one save through sixty-five minutes before Gerardo Mendez entered in relief, recording six stops and not allowing a goal over the final twenty-five minutes.
