Baseball Splits Against Jefferson

Philadelphia, PA - Felician split its doubleheader with Jefferson, falling 10–8 in game one before responding with a 14–1 victory in game two.

Game One

Felician scored eight runs on seven hits, including one double and one home run, while drawing five walks and striking out seven times. The Golden Falcons left three runners on base and added a stolen base.

Felician struck early in the second inning. Bryce Curry worked a walk before Andrew DeAngelis singled to put two runners on. Ernesto Polanco followed with another walk to load the bases before Brandon Petrick delivered a sacrifice fly to bring home Curry. Matthew Scrivanic then singled through the left side to drive in both DeAngelis and Polanco, giving Felician a 3–1 lead.

Felician regained momentum in the fifth inning with a five-run outburst. Scrivanic opened the inning with a single and later stole second. Jeremy Espinal followed with a base hit before Jose David Medrano drew a walk to load the bases. Rocko Brzezniak grounded into a double play that allowed Scrivanic to score before Luis De La Cruz doubled down the left-field line to bring home Espinal. Andrew DeAngelis then launched a three-run home run to right-center, scoring De La Cruz and Bryce Curry to give Felician an 8–6 advantage.

DeAngelis led the offense with two hits, including a home run, while driving in three runs and scoring twice. Matthew Scrivanic added two hits and two RBI, while Luis De La Cruz contributed a double and an RBI. Jeremy Espinal recorded two hits and scored a run.

Felician used four pitchers in the game. Max Weber started and worked 2.1 innings before Aiden Denton followed with 2.2 innings of relief and five strikeouts. Jackson Walsh took the loss after allowing four runs in relief, while Antonio Sansone closed out the final 1.2 innings.

Game Two

Felician erupted for 14 runs on 13 hits, including two doubles and two home runs, while drawing five walks and striking out nine times. The Golden Falcons left 11 runners on base and turned two double plays defensively.

Felician broke the game open with a five-run second inning. Bryce Curry reached after being hit by a pitch before Brandon Petrick reached on an error. Matthew Scrivanic followed with an RBI single before advancing on a wild pitch that allowed Petrick to score. Andrew DeAngelis then worked a walk and stole second before Jose David Medrano delivered a three-run home run down the left-field line to cap the rally.

Felician continued to build its lead in the third inning. Neisser Sanchez reached on an error and Bryce Curry followed with a single before Brandon Petrick was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Ernesto Polanco delivered an RBI single before Andrew DeAngelis followed with a two-run single. Medrano added another RBI groundout to extend the lead.

The Falcons added to the lead in the fourth when Bryce Curry launched a solo home run to left field. Felician continued to generate offense in the fifth when Scrivanic doubled and later scored before Medrano added an RBI double. In the sixth inning, Scrivanic singled to drive in another run before Felician plated its final run in the seventh.

Matthew Scrivanic finished with three hits, including a double, while scoring twice and driving in two runs. Bryce Curry added two hits, including a home run, and scored three times, while Andrew DeAngelis contributed two RBI.

Felician used four pitchers in the game. Christian Colmery earned the win with four scoreless innings to start the game. Tyler McLeod and Nick DiMartino followed with scoreless appearances out of the bullpen before Sean Savannah closed out the final inning.
