Orangeburg, NY - The Felician University women's lacrosse team battled through a tough conference matchup, falling to Dominican (N.Y.) on the road.
Dominican controlled the pace early, building a lead in the opening half, but Felician continued to compete and look for opportunities on both ends of the field. The Golden Falcons broke through in the third quarter when
Madison Cancela scored off an assist from
Mary Gazaleh, providing a highlight for the offense.
In net,
Jessica Naoum recorded 10 saves while facing a high number of shots, anchoring the defense throughout the contest. Felician also saw efforts in the midfield, with
Natalia Ogando and
Aly Amadruto contributing on draw controls, and
Kayla Fox adding work defensively and on the ground.
While the result did not go their way, the Golden Falcons continued to push through all four quarters and will look to carry those efforts into their next outing.
