Baseball Caps Off Regular Season With A Series Sweep Over Dominican

Lyndhurst, NJ - Felician used a decisive middle-inning surge to take down Dominican, 7–4, on Tuesday, turning a one-run deficit into a three-run win behind timely hitting and a deep bullpen effort.

Felician finished with seven runs on ten hits, doing most of its damage in a single stretch that flipped the game.

The Falcons came out aggressive in the first inning. Haiden Walters singled to start the game, and moments later Luis De La Cruz delivered a two-run triple to put Felician in front. Rocko Brzezniak followed with an RBI single as the early lead grew to 3–0.

Dominican answered and eventually moved ahead in the fourth, forcing Felician to reset. That response came in the sixth—and it defined the game.

Andrew DeAngelis worked a walk to open the inning, and after a sacrifice moved him into scoring position, Brandon Petrick tied the game with an RBI double. Two batters later, Haiden Walters delivered the go-ahead RBI single, bringing home Petrick and pushing him into second place in program history with his 231st career hit. The inning continued to unfold from there, as Jose David Medrano followed with a single and Luis De La Cruz drove in two more with a base hit down the line to cap a four-run frame and make it 7–4.

Luis De La Cruz led the offense with three hits, including a triple, and four RBI. Haiden Walters added two hits and the go-ahead RBI, while Brandon Petrick contributed a double and an RBI. Rocko Brzezniak also drove in a run as Felician totaled 10 hits.

On the mound, Felician leaned on its depth to settle the game after the fourth inning. Chris Laieta started and struck out five over three innings, while Antonio Sansone and Brandon Lynn combined to stabilize the middle. Andrew Gendi earned the win with 1.1 scoreless innings, Collin Kratzer added a clean frame, and Gavin Enright closed it out with a scoreless ninth to secure the save.

With this win, Felician is now slated to host Post University in the opening round of the CACC Tournament.
