Baseball Falls To Chestnut Hill

North Wales, PA - Felician split its doubleheader with Chestnut Hill on Wednesday, falling 30–7 in Game One before dropping a 7–6 decision in Game Two. The Golden Falcons showed resilience at the plate throughout the day, totaling 20 hits and producing multiple multi-run innings across both contests.

Game One

Felician scored seven runs on 10 hits, including one double and two home runs. The Golden Falcons drew two walks and struck out 10 times while leaving three runners on base and stealing three bases.

Felician struck first in the opening inning when Jose David Medrano doubled and later scored on an RBI single from Rocko Brzezniak.

The Falcons answered again in the third inning when Luis De La Cruz launched a two-run home run to center field. Felician continued to chip away in the fourth as Haiden Walters singled, stole second, and later scored on an RBI single from Brandon Petrick.

De La Cruz added his second home run of the game in the fifth with a solo shot to right field, and Felician capped its scoring in the seventh when Matt Murphy singled before Bryce Curry followed with a two-run home run to right-center.

Luis De La Cruz led the offense with two home runs and three RBI, while Bryce Curry added a home run and two RBI. Jose David Medrano recorded two hits including a double and scored twice, and Haiden Walters contributed two hits and a run scored.

Felician used six pitchers in the game, with Collin Kratzer providing two scoreless innings in relief.

Game Two

Felician scored six runs on 10 hits, including three doubles and seven singles. The Golden Falcons drew two walks and struck out three times while leaving six runners on base.

Felician responded to an early deficit with a five-run second inning. Ian Vertucci drove in a run with a single before Matt Murphy followed with a base hit to continue the rally. Jose David Medrano then cleared the bases with a three-run double, and Bryce Curry added an RBI double to give the Falcons a 5–3 lead.

The Falcons added another run in the fourth when Haiden Walters singled and later scored on an RBI single from Curry to extend the lead to 6–3.

Haiden Walters led the offense with three hits and two runs scored, while Jose David Medrano added two hits including a double and three RBI. Bryce Curry contributed two hits including a double and two RBI, and Ian Vertucci chipped in with a hit and an RBI.

Felician used three pitchers in the game. Christian Colmery took the loss after allowing seven runs over 4.2 innings, while Rafael Solano and Andrew Gendi combined for 1.1 scoreless innings in relief.
