Madison, NJ / Lyndhurst, NJ - Similar to last season, Felician completed an opening round sweep of Post, but this time it came with an unusual twist. After securing Game One, the second game was halted in the top of the eighth inning due to darkness at FDU–Florham, before resuming the following day at Breslin Field—where Felician shut down Post's rally to finish the job.
Game One
Felician secured a 6–5 win behind timely extra-base hits and a bullpen that navigated late pressure.
After falling behind early, the Falcons flipped the game in the third inning. Haiden Walters and Matthew Scrivanic each delivered doubles, while Jose De La Cruz added a sacrifice fly as Felician plated three runs to take the lead.
The Falcons added separation in the fifth with back-to-back home runs from Ernesto Polanco and Scrivanic. Walters later came around to score on a defensive miscue, extending the lead to 6–3.
Walters finished with two hits and reached base three times, while Polanco and Scrivanic each homered. Scrivanic added three hits, and Polanco collected three as Felician totaled 10 hits.
On the mound, Max Weber struck out six over five innings to earn the win. Brandon Lynn bridged the middle innings, Andrew Gendi worked through late traffic, and Collin Kratzer closed it out despite a ninth-inning push, stranding the tying run to secure the save.
Game Two
Game Two turned into a back-and-forth offensive battle, with Felician ultimately coming out on top 17–15 in a game that spanned two days.
Felician built its offense in waves, answering multiple deficits with big innings. The Falcons scored in five different frames, highlighted by a five-run fourth inning and a five-run fifth inning that shifted momentum back in their favor.
Luis De La Cruz led the way with three hits and three RBI, while Rocko Brzezniak added four hits and three RBI. Bryce Curry drove in four runs, and Haiden Walters reached base four times and scored three runs. As a team, Felician produced 17 runs on 17 hits while drawing eight walks.
The game took a turn in the eighth inning when Post mounted a significant rally, cutting into the lead when play resumed at Breslin Field. Despite the rally, Felician's pitching staff regained control.
Gavin Enright took over to close it out and, after inheriting the high-leverage situation, shut down the remainder of the inning and retired the side in order in the ninth, sealing the sweep.
Felician's ability to withstand the late surge—across two days and two venues—highlighted both its depth and composure in a postseason setting.
