BLOOMSBURG, PA. – Men's soccer battled back from an early deficit and pushed Bloomsburg to the final minute, but the Golden Falcons fell, 3-2, to the Huskies Thursday afternoon at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Bloomsburg opened the scoring in the 18th minute, but Felician answered less than four minutes later when senior forward Bartu Yakkan finished a feed from Marcos Sevilla to level the match at 1-1. The Huskies regained the lead early in the second half and added another goal in the 76th minute before Yakkan converted a penalty kick in the 89th minute to bring the Golden Falcons within one.
Felician finished the match with eight shots, including four on target, while Gerardo Mendez made two saves in goal.

FIRST HALF | Felician nearly took the lead late in the opening period when Bruno Arenal Gutierrez put a shot on target in the 45th minute, but the Bloomsburg goalkeeper made the save. The teams entered halftime tied at 1-1.

SECOND HALF | Bloomsburg reclaimed the lead in the 53rd minute to make it a 2-1 match.

SECOND HALF | Felician continued to create opportunities, with Michel Bose forcing a save in the 59th minute. Adrian Buri and Bartu Yakkan also recorded shots during the second half.

FINAL MINUTES | Felician continued to battle and earned a penalty kick with 40 seconds remaining. Bartu Yakkan stepped to the spot and converted for his second goal of the match, cutting the deficit to 3-2. The Golden Falcons were unable to find the equalizer before the final whistle.
Felician opens the 2026 season with a 0-1-0 record following Thursday's contest.
