MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Felician Baseball finished its 5-game week in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with a crippling 9-0 win over the College of Staten Island Sunday afternoon.

Anthony Lamar (Freeport, NY) led the Golden Falcon offense at the plate with a 2-4 performance earning 2 runs and one RBI. Dauri Genao (West New York, NJ) went 2-5 with one run and one RBI while Thomas Kendrick (Jackson, NJ) was 2-2 with one walk, one run, and a RBI.

It was a 0-0 first two innings, until Felician recorded its first run in the bottom of the third after a Haiden Walters (Coral Springs, FL) sac bunt to send home Kendrick for the 1-0 lead. Eventually, the Golden Falcons bats got hot as they posted a 5-run bottom seventh ignited by Genao's single to put Cole Porter (Riverdale, NJ) in scoring position. Singles and wild pitches allowed Felician to send its players around the bases for the 8-0 lead.

In the final inning for the Golden Falcon offense, Porter got on base for a single to eventually steal second to once again be put in scoring position. Genao earned an RBI double to send Porter home for the final run of the afternoon.

Starting pitcher Wilfrido Valenzuela (Paterson, NJ) secured the win with 6 innings pitched, striking out 11 and only allowing 4 hits and 2 walks.

The Golden Falcons will be back on the field Tuesday for a doubleheader against Anderson (S.C.) University starting at 1:00pm.
