Box Score 2 RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician baseball went into Sunday afternoon for game two and three of the three game series with Franklin Pierce. After the result, the Golden Falcons ultimately dropped in both contests to fall 7-15 overall.
Game One:
In game one, the Ravens secured 18 hits compared to the Golden Falcons 15 as the hosts saw a crippling 25-10 loss. Dauri Genao (West New York, NJ) went 4-3 with two runs and one RBI, Thomas Kendrick (Jackson, NJ) went 3-5 with three runs, and Jack Scrivanic (Tinton Falls, NJ) went 2-4 with two runs and three RBI's.
Felician held a 3-1 lead after four innings. The first three-runs for the Golden Falcons came from a Scrivanic and Chris Fernandez (Boca Raton, FL) (2 RBI) single, however, the Ravens clinched 7 runs in the top of the fifth to hold the 8-3 advantage. During the next few innings, the opposers would record 17-runs to take the 25-10 victory.
Game Two (7-innings):
Going into game two, the Golden Falcons were looking for redemption after the first game result. By the third, the green-and-gold tied it up after Cole Porter (River Vale, NJ) reached first after a fielding error to send home Alex Torres (Jackson, NJ).
However, the Ravens would post five more runs while only allowing the Golden Falcons to score one, to hand Felician the series loss, 6-2.
The baseball squad will be back in action at Breslin Field Wednesday to open conference play against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponents Caldwell University at 2:00pm.
