Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY – Felician Baseball traveled to Rockville Center, NY to face #19 Molloy College Lions in a non-conference match-up Tuesday afternoon. After a ninth inning rally, the Golden Falcons took the 12-9 victory.
The Golden Falcons held the 5-0 lead until the bottom of the 7th when the Lions recorded a pair of runs to trail by two. During the bottom of the eighth, the hosts battled back with an additional five to have the 8-5 advantage.
In the top of the ninth, Felician posted 7 runs and 5 hits to run away with the afternoon win. Chris Fernandez (Boca Raton, FL), Haiden Walters (Coral Springs, FL), and Dauri Genao (West New York, NJ) loaded the bases for Jack Scrivanic (Tinton Falls, NJ) to slam a double to send home the first two runs of the inning. After the second out from Anthony Lamar (Freeport, NY), who posted a homerun earlier in the game, Felician was able to put two more green-and-gold runs on the board to finalize the seven-run inning.
Pitcher Ralph Gambino (Freehold, NJ) would come in for the squad to only give up one run and one hit to seal the Felician victory over the #19 Lions. In the afternoon, Mike Caldon (Matawan, NJ) recorded the win with five, hits, five runs, and four strikeouts.
The baseball squad improves its standing to 5-8 overall and they will be back on the field tomorrow afternoon in Garden City, NY to play Adelphi University at 3:00pm.
