Box Score RUTHERFORD, NJ – Felician baseball secured a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference weekly awards as starting pitcher, Nick DeCarlo (Barnegat, NJ), has been crowned Pitcher of the Week and Thomas Kendrick (Jackson, NJ) is your Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The right-handed pitcher made his seventh appearance to secure the game one shut out, his first of the season, against the University of Bridgeport on March 31 where he pitched 7.0 innings surrendering 3 hits and striking out 11. DeCarlo currently has a 2-3 record a current 4.95 ERA with 40.0 innings pitched and 55 strike outs.
The freshman posted a .412 average with four RBIs, five runs, seven hits, and one stolen base in 17 at bats. Kendrick is currenly leading the team with a .386 batting average, 14 RBIs, four doubles and one triple.
Also announced on Monday, senior Dauri Genao (West New York, NJ) claimed honorable mention with a .462 average, two homeruns and eight RBIs.
