Melbourne, FL - The Golden Falcons travel back to Melbourne to wrap-up the Space Coast Invitational. In game one, Felician falls to West Chester by a final score of 6-1. The second game of the day would end in a nail bitter against D'Youville as Felician falls to the Saints, 3-2.
Game One
Felician suffered a 6-1 defeat to West Chester University. While the Golden Falcons displayed some solid moments throughout the game, they struggled to capitalize on offensive opportunities and were ultimately outmatched by West Chester's balanced attack. The Golden Falcons recorded only three hits and left four runners on base. Defensively, the team committed one error, but their fielding remained largely solid, with no major miscues impacting the game significantly. The lone run for the Golden Falcons came in the third inning when
Kimberly Torres hit a two-out RBI double to drive in
Hannah Ramirez, who had reached base earlier via a hit-by-pitch. Ramirez's hustle and aggressiveness on the base paths helped set up the scoring opportunity. Senior,
Kylie Sharapan would also find success at the plate for the Golden Falcons, batting an exceptional 2-for-3 on the day. Starting pitcher
Riley Williams pitched 3.0 innings, allowing six earned runs on eight hits, walking four. Despite the challenging outing, Williams showed resilience.
Skye Limardo entered in relief and delivered 3.0 scoreless innings, allowing no hits, walking one, and striking out one, effectively stalling West Chester's offense and keeping the game within reach. The top performers in the contest were Sharapan, who batted 2-for-3, Torres, who went 1-for-2 to drive in Felician's lone run in the game, and Limardo for her stellar relief performance in the circle.
Game Two
The Golden Falcons would take on D'Youville falling narrowly in a 3-2 defeat, to close out their 2025 Spring Break Trip. The game highlighted notable individual performances and showcased the team's resilience in a closely contested battle. Center fielder
Jullianna Saint Hilaire led the offense with a stellar 2-for-3 performance, including two doubles and driving in both of Felician's runs, demonstrating her ability to deliver in clutch moments. Designated player
Macie Jacquet contributed versatility, going 1-for-2 at the plate, drawing a walk, scoring a run, and stealing two bases to pressure D'Youville's defense. Left fielder
Mikayla Brown added a double in a 1-for-3 effort, while pinch hitter
Mallory Shevlin delivered a momentum-boosting double off the bench. Defensively, second baseman
Aria Reyes anchored the infield with four putouts and five assists, while first baseman
Victorie Leon recorded nine putouts and an assist to provide consistency. Pitcher
Jocelyn Moody threw a complete game, allowing five hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out two while inducing fourteen groundouts and five flyouts. Felician opened the scoring with an early run in the first inning and added another in the third on Hilaire's key RBI double. Despite generating six hits, including four doubles, the Golden Falcons left four runners stranded and were unable to capitalize on late opportunities. While committing two fielding errors, Felician's defense held firm in critical moments, with Moody's control and the infield's precision keeping the game close.
