Hampton, Va. – Felician Golden Falcons jumped out early Friday evening but couldn't recover from a big middle stretch, dropping a 15–3 decision to the Millersville Marauders to open the day in Hampton.
Felician set the tone in the top of the first. Haiden Walters reached base and eventually scored on a Bryce Curry RBI groundout, giving the Golden Falcons a quick 1–0 advantage. Millersville answered in the bottom half and followed with a three-run second to grab momentum.
The Golden Falcons answered back in the third with their most productive inning of the game. Jeremy Espinal sparked the rally with a single, and Walters followed by reaching again. Neisser Sanchez added a base hit to load the bases before Rocko Brzezniak worked an RBI walk. Walters later crossed the plate on a passed ball, pulling Felician within one at 4–3.
Millersville added a run in the fourth and then broke the game open with a nine-run fifth, taking advantage of extended innings and timely extra-base hits to build separation.
Felician finished with three runs on four hits. Sanchez led the way offensively, going 2-for-3, while Walters scored twice from the leadoff spot. Espinal chipped in a hit and a run scored, and Curry and Brzezniak each drove in a run during Felician's early push.
On the mound, Devin Malvasio made the start and struck out seven over four innings. Rafael Solano, Giancarlo Lamberti, and Luis Florian combined out of the bullpen to close out the game.
Despite the final score, Felician continued to compete throughout, generating traffic on the bases early and showing resilience before the Marauders' decisive fifth inning.
