Baseball Sweeps In Lincoln To Start Conference Play

Lyndhurst, NJ - Felician swept its doubleheader with Lincoln (Pa.), earning an 11–1 win in Game One before securing a 4–2 victory in Game Two.

Game One

Felician scored 11 runs on eight hits in the opener, including three doubles and five singles. The Golden Falcons drew 13 walks and struck out just once while swiping five bases. Felician opened the scoring in the first inning when Luis De La Cruz grounded into a double play that brought home Haiden Walters. The Falcons extended their lead in the third on a wild pitch before adding two runs in the fourth on RBI walks from Matthew Scrivanic and Walters. Felician broke the game open in the fifth with three runs, highlighted by a two-run single from Brandon Petrick. The Falcons added three more in the sixth behind a two-run single from Neisser Sanchez and an RBI single from Andrew DeAngelis before Walters capped the scoring with an RBI double in the seventh.

Walters reached base five times, scoring three runs while adding a double and two RBI. De La Cruz finished with two hits including a double and scored three runs. Petrick recorded two hits and drove in two runs, while Sanchez added two RBI and DeAngelis contributed an RBI single.

Felician used three pitchers over seven innings, combining to allow one run on six hits. Starter Devin Malvasio earned the win after tossing four innings and allowing one run while striking out five. Jackson Walsh followed with two scoreless innings, and Antonio Sansone closed the game with a scoreless seventh.

Game Two

Felician scored four runs on eight hits, including two doubles and six singles. The Golden Falcons drew five walks and struck out once while stealing six bases. Felician took the lead in the second inning when Matthew Scrivanic singled to drive in Thomas Iaquinto. The Falcons added three runs in the third inning behind a sacrifice fly from Luis De La Cruz, an RBI double from Bryce Curry, and a sacrifice fly from Ernesto Polanco.

Curry led the offense with two hits including a pair of doubles and an RBI. Scrivanic finished with a hit and an RBI, while De La Cruz and Polanco each drove in a run. Iaquinto also scored a run and recorded three stolen bases in the win.

Felician used three pitchers over seven innings to secure the victory. Andrew Gendi earned the win after allowing two runs over five innings while striking out four. Aiden Denton added a scoreless sixth inning, and Gavin Enright recorded the save to close out the game.

Milestones
Haiden Walters secured his 200th Career Hit, making him 8th all - time in program history.
