Lyndhurst, NJ - Felician secured a dramatic 5–4 walk-off victory over East Stroudsburg on Friday afternoon.
Felician scored five runs on eight hits, including one double and seven singles, while drawing four walks and striking out three times. The Golden Falcons left six runners on base and recorded three sacrifice flies in the contest.
Felician struck first in the opening inning. Haiden Walters singled to start the rally before Jose David Medrano followed with a bunt single. Rocko Brzezniak drew a walk to load the bases, and Medrano later scored on a wild pitch. Bryce Curry added a sacrifice fly to bring home Brzezniak and give Felician an early 2–0 lead.
After East Stroudsburg pulled ahead in the fifth inning, Felician responded in the fourth when Andrew DeAngelis singled and eventually scored after a sacrifice fly from Matthew Scrivanic and an error allowed Brandon Petrick to reach base.
The Falcons trailed 4–3 entering the bottom of the ninth before delivering the game-winning rally.
Thomas Iaquinto opened the inning by drawing a walk, followed by another walk from Matthew Scrivanic to put two runners on. Brandon Petrick then reached on a fielder's choice, moving Iaquinto to third. Walters tied the game with an RBI groundout to shortstop that brought Iaquinto home while Petrick advanced to second.
Medrano followed with a walk and stole second base, putting runners in scoring position. Rocko Brzezniak then delivered the walk-off single to left field, driving in Petrick to seal the 5–4 victory.
Brzezniak finished with a hit, a walk, and the game-winning RBI. Walters collected two hits including a double while driving in a run, and Medrano added a hit, two walks, and a stolen base. Andrew DeAngelis contributed two hits, while Petrick scored the game-winning run after reaching base twice.
Felician used six pitchers in the game. Chris Laieta started and worked 3.2 innings before Rafael Solano followed in relief. Brandon Lynn and Tyler McLeod each provided scoreless appearances, while Briant Bazydlo added a strong inning out of the bullpen. Kyle Bednarski earned the win after tossing a scoreless ninth inning and recording two strikeouts.
