Hockessin, DE - Felician dropped both ends of its doubleheader against Goldey-Beacom on Saturday, falling 9–5 in game one before a 5–4 loss in the second game
Game One
Felician scored five runs on six hits, including two doubles and one home run. The Golden Falcons drew six walks and struck out twice while leaving nine runners on base and swiping two bases.
Felician opened the scoring in the first inning when Luis De La Cruz launched a solo home run to right field.
After falling behind, the Falcons rallied in the eighth inning with four runs. Haiden Walters reached and later scored on a passed ball before Jose David Medrano came home on a sacrifice fly from De La Cruz. Bryce Curry then scored on an RBI single from Neisser Sanchez, and Rocko Brzezniak crossed the plate on a fielder's choice off the bat of Brandon Petrick to cut the deficit to one.
Luis De La Cruz led the offense with a home run and two RBI, while Jose David Medrano added a hit and a run scored. Neisser Sanchez contributed a pinch-hit RBI single, and Rocko Brzezniak recorded a double.
Felician used four pitchers in the game. Devin Malvasio took the loss after allowing six runs over 6.1 innings while striking out five. Briant Bazydlo followed with one inning of relief, while Aiden Denton and Gavin Enright combined to finish the game.
Game Two
Felician scored four runs on nine hits, including four doubles and five singles. The Golden Falcons drew one walk and struck out three times while leaving six runners on base and adding two stolen bases.
Felician jumped out to an early lead with runs in each of the first two innings. Jose David Medrano singled and later scored on an RBI single from Bryce Curry in the first, before Thomas Iaquinto came home on a defensive miscue in the second.
The Falcons added two more runs in the fourth inning. Ernesto Polanco scored on an error before Medrano doubled to right-center to drive in Jeremy Espinal and extend the lead to 4–0.
Bryce Curry led the offense with a 4-for-4 performance and an RBI, while Jose David Medrano added two hits including a double and an RBI. Neisser Sanchez recorded two doubles, and Thomas Iaquinto added a double and scored a run.
Felician used four pitchers in the game. Christian Colmery started and allowed two runs over five innings while striking out four. Antonio Sansone followed with a scoreless inning, while Gavin Enright and Collin Kratzer combined in relief.
