Lyndhurst, NJ - Felician earned a 5–0 victory over Goldey-Beacom on Sunday afternoon, bouncing back with a complete performance on both sides of the ball. The Golden Falcons used a four-run third inning to take control and rode a dominant effort in the circle to secure the shutout.
Felician scored five runs on eight hits, including two doubles and one home run. The Golden Falcons drew three walks and struck out three times while leaving six runners on base and adding a stolen base.
Felician broke the game open in the third inning with four runs. Haiden Walters worked a walk and stole second before Jose David Medrano reached with a base hit. Luis De La Cruz then doubled to drive in both runners and later came around to score on a throwing error. Bryce Curry followed with a double and Andrew DeAngelis added a single to keep the rally going before Neisser Sanchez capped the inning with an RBI single to bring home Curry.
The Falcons added an insurance run in the eighth inning when Ernesto Polanco launched a solo home run to left field.
Luis De La Cruz led the offense with two hits, including a double, and two RBI. Bryce Curry added two hits, including a double, while Neisser Sanchez contributed a hit and an RBI. Ernesto Polanco added the solo home run, and Jose David Medrano chipped in with a hit and a run scored.
Felician used two pitchers in the shutout. Sadier Vicioso earned the win with seven scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out five. Aiden Denton closed the game with two scoreless innings, striking out three.
