Dobbs Ferry, NY - Felician earned an 8–7 extra-inning victory over Mercy on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Falcons jumped out to an early lead, battled back late to force extras, and secured the win behind timely hitting in the 10th inning.
Felician scored eight runs on 12 hits, including one double and 11 singles. The Golden Falcons drew seven walks and struck out six times while leaving 12 runners on base and swiping multiple bases.
Felician struck early with a three-run first inning. Jose David Medrano singled to start the rally before Haiden Walters reached and Bryce Curry walked to load the bases. Neisser Sanchez delivered a two-run single to right field, and Matthew Scrivanic followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 3–0. The Falcons added another run in the second inning when Walters lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home Tristan Govea.
After the game was tied, Felician regained the lead in the fourth inning when Scrivanic drew a bases-loaded walk to force in a run.
Trailing 7–5 entering the ninth, Felician rallied to extend the game. Bryce Curry singled before Anthony Sciametta entered as a pinch runner. Neisser Sanchez worked a walk and Scrivanic followed with a single to load the bases. Ernesto Polanco delivered an RBI single to score Sciametta, and Andrew DeAngelis followed with a game-tying RBI single to even the score at 7–7.
In the 10th inning, Luis De La Cruz singled to begin the frame before Braden Walsh delivered a go-ahead RBI double to left-center, scoring De La Cruz for the eventual game-winning run.
Neisser Sanchez led the offense with two hits and two RBI, while Matthew Scrivanic added a hit, two RBI, and two walks. Ernesto Polanco recorded two hits and an RBI, and Jose David Medrano finished with three hits. Andrew DeAngelis contributed a key RBI single, and Braden Walsh delivered the game-winning double.
Felician used six pitchers in the game. Antonio Sansone started and worked three innings before Brandon Lynn provided two scoreless innings in relief. Dean Daddio added two scoreless frames, and Andrew Gendi earned the win with 2.2 shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out two.
