Philadelphia, PA. - The Felician University women's lacrosse team fell to Jefferson, 18-5, on Saturday afternoon.
Jefferson controlled the game early, building a 4-0 lead in the opening quarter before extending its advantage to 12-1 by halftime. The Rams maintained pressure throughout, finishing with 39 total shots and capitalizing on multiple scoring runs across the first three periods.
Felician broke through in the second quarter when
Kathleen Lopez scored a man-down opportunity off an assist from
Alyssa Tropeano. Despite the early deficit, the Golden Falcons showed resilience late in the contest, putting together a strong fourth quarter with four goals.
Natalia Ogando and
Kayla Fox each scored twice in the final period, while
Mackenzie Fox and
Aly Amadruto added assists. Lopez finished with one goal and an assist to round out Felician's scoring.
Defensively,
Jessica Naoum anchored the effort with 14 saves while facing consistent pressure. The Golden Falcons also remained efficient in transition, successfully clearing all 16 attempts.
Felician will look to build on its momentum as it continues conference play Wednesday, hosting Holy Family at 1:00 PM.
