Softball Splits Against Holy Family

Bensalem, PA - Felician split its doubleheader against Holy Family on Monday, falling 6–4 in Game One before responding with a 9–4 victory in Game Two. The Golden Falcons rallied in the opener but could not complete the comeback, then broke things open late in the second game behind a balanced offensive effort.

Game One

Felician scored four runs on six hits, including one double and five singles. The Golden Falcons drew eight walks and struck out nine times while leaving eight runners on base.

Felician trailed early before mounting a four-run rally in the fifth inning. Kaitlyn DeBondt and Kailey Alas each reached base to start the inning before Autumn Eck delivered an RBI single to bring home the first run. Kailyn Engels followed with a two-run double to cut the deficit to 6–3, and Aria Reyes worked a bases-loaded walk to bring Felician within two.

Autumn Eck led the offense with three hits and an RBI, while Kailyn Engels added a double and two RBI. Kailey Alas contributed a hit and a walk, and Makayla De La Rosa scored a run.

Kylie Dressel took the loss, tossing six innings while allowing six runs (three earned) on 11 hits with four strikeouts.

Game Two

Felician scored nine runs on 11 hits, including one double and one home run. The Golden Falcons drew three walks and struck out once while leaving seven runners on base.

Felician opened the scoring in the first inning when Kimberly Torres reached and later scored on an error to give the Falcons an early lead.

The Falcons broke the game open in the fifth inning. Mikayla Brown singled and Brielle Cubala followed with a base hit before Makayla De La Rosa launched a three-run home run to put Felician in front 4–1. Later in the inning, Autumn Eck added an RBI single to extend the lead.

Felician added insurance in the seventh inning with four more runs. Kelsey Vitalis delivered a two-run single, Alyson Walling followed with an RBI fielder's choice, and Kaitlyn DeBondt added an RBI groundout to cap the scoring.

Mikayla Brown led the offense with three hits and two runs scored, while Makayla De La Rosa added a home run and three RBI. Kelsey Vitalis contributed a hit and two RBI, and Brielle Cubala recorded two hits and scored twice.

Skye Limardo earned the win with a complete-game effort, allowing four runs (one earned) on eight hits while striking out three.
