Baseball Picks Up Series Win With A Double Header Sweep Over Georgian Court

Lyndhurst, NJ - Felician swept its doubleheader against Georgian Court on Friday, taking Game One 4–1 before securing a 4–3 win in Game Two.

Game One

Felician did its damage early and relied on pitching the rest of the way, finishing with four runs on eight hits while limiting Georgian Court to just four hits.

The Falcons struck in the first inning and never looked back. Jose David Medrano opened the frame with a double, and Luis De La Cruz followed with an RBI double to get Felician on the board. Bryce Curry added an RBI single, and after advancing runners with a sacrifice, Braden Walsh brought in another run with a sacrifice fly. Ian Vertucci capped the inning with an RBI single to make it 4–0.

From there, the offense settled, but the early cushion held.

Luis De La Cruz and Bryce Curry each collected two hits and drove in a run, while Medrano added a double and a run scored. Vertucci and Walsh each recorded an RBI as part of the opening-inning surge.

On the mound, Sadier Vicioso set the tone, working 7.1 innings while allowing just one run on three hits and striking out seven. Brandon Lynn bridged the late innings, and Gavin Enright closed the door with a scoreless ninth to earn the save.

Game Two

Felician worked back from an early deficit and gradually took control, scoring in four different innings to secure the one-run win.

After falling behind in the first, Felician answered in the third when Haiden Walters lifted a sacrifice fly to tie the game. Georgian Court regained the lead in the fourth, but Felician responded immediately with a sacrifice fly from Neisser Sanchez to make it 3–2.

The Falcons continued to chip away. In the fifth, Bryce Curry delivered an RBI single to even the score, and in the sixth, Walters came through again with an RBI double down the line to give Felician its first lead of the game.

Haiden Walters led the offense with three hits and two RBI, while Bryce Curry added two hits and a run driven in. Andrew DeAngelis contributed two hits, and Ernesto Polanco added a key hit and scored a run.

Felician used four pitchers to navigate the game. Christian Colmery started and allowed three runs over three innings. Jackson Walsh followed with two scoreless innings, Aiden Denton earned the win with 1.1 shutout innings, and Collin Kratzer recorded the final two outs for the save.
