Caldwell, NJ - Felician picked up a 7–5 win over Caldwell on Sunday, building an early cushion and leaning on its bullpen to navigate the final innings.
Felician matched its seven runs with seven hits, but did most of its damage by forcing traffic—drawing nine walks and capitalizing on mistakes to stay in control.
The breakthrough came in the second inning. With runners on, Brandon Petrick lined an RBI single to open the scoring, Haiden Walters followed with another run-scoring hit, and a defensive miscue allowed a third run to cross as the Falcons moved ahead 3–0.
Felician kept adding in smaller increments rather than one big swing. A bases-loaded walk from Bryce Curry in the fourth pushed the lead to four, and the Falcons added two more in the fifth—Ernesto Polanco drove one in with a single, and Walters brought another home with a groundout to make it 6–3.
As Caldwell worked back within a run in the sixth, Felician answered just enough. In the seventh, Curry lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home Walters, giving the Falcons a key insurance run.
Walters finished with two RBI and scored three times, while Braden Walsh collected two hits and crossed the plate twice. Petrick and Polanco each drove in a run, and Curry added two RBI without recording a hit.
On the mound, Christian Colmery handled the start before turning it over to the bullpen. Brandon Lynn provided a steady inning to earn the win, and Collin Kratzer took over the rest of the way, covering the final 3.1 innings and keeping Caldwell off the board to secure the finish.
