Nutley, NJ - Felician secured a doubleheader sweep over Bridgeport on Tuesday, earning a 3–2 comeback win in Game One before taking Game Two, 5–4. The day also featured a milestone moment, as Kimberly Torres recorded the 100th hit of her career.
Game One
Felician overturned an early deficit and stayed in control the rest of the way, finishing with three runs on eight hits.
After falling behind in the first, the Falcons answered in the second. Mikayla Brown and Alyson Walling helped set up the inning, and Hannah Ramirez brought in the first run with a groundout. Felician took the lead in the fourth, using consecutive run-producing swings—Ramirez delivered an RBI single, and Karina De La Vega followed with a go-ahead RBI single to make it 3–2.
Karina De La Vega led the offense with three hits and an RBI, while Kelsey Vitalis added two hits, including a triple. Hannah Ramirez drove in a run and scored, and Alyson Walling and Mikayla Brown each added a hit.
Jocelyn Moody handled the full game in the circle, limiting Bridgeport to four hits and two runs while striking out six to secure the win.
Game Two
Felician built its lead across the early and middle innings, finishing with five runs on 10 hits.
The Falcons got on the board in the first on an RBI single from Brielle Cubala. An inning later, Felician added two more, highlighted by Kimberly Torres' RBI single to center—marking the 100th hit of her career.
Felician added separation in the fourth. Mikayla Brown tripled to start the inning, and Torres followed by driving a two-run home run to extend the lead.
Kimberly Torres finished with two hits, including a home run, and three RBI, while Mikayla Brown recorded three hits and scored twice. Brielle Cubala added an RBI, and Karina De La Vega contributed a hit.
Jocelyn Moody started and worked three innings, allowing two runs. Kelsey Vitalis took over from there and closed out the game, earning the save with four innings of relief and six strikeouts.
