West Chester, PA - Felician dropped both games of its doubleheader against West Chester on Wednesday, falling 2–0 in Game One before a 6–5 loss in Game Two.
Game One
Felician was limited offensively, finishing with two hits and one walk while striking out six times.
The Falcons threatened early in the first inning. Kimberly Torres doubled down the line and Mikayla Brown followed with a walk, while Karina De La Vega was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Felician, however, was unable to capitalize as the inning ended without a run.
From there, opportunities were scarce. Autumn Eck added the only other hit, but Felician was held scoreless the rest of the way.
Mallory Shevlin turned in a strong outing in the circle, going the distance with a complete game. She allowed just four hits and two runs while striking out six, keeping Felician within reach throughout.
Game Two
Felician managed five runs on just three hits, taking advantage of early opportunities before the game shifted in the later innings.
Kimberly Torres provided the early spark, opening the game with a solo home run to center. Felician then created separation in the fourth inning, scoring four runs despite recording just one hit in the frame. Torres delivered again with a grand slam, giving the Falcons a 5–1 lead.
West Chester chipped away in the fifth and sixth innings, tying the game before a final push in the seventh ended it.
Torres accounted for all five RBI with her two home runs, while Karina De La Vega added a hit. Kailey Alas reached base twice and scored, and Hannah Ramirez also crossed the plate.
In the circle, Jocelyn Moody started and worked four innings, allowing three runs. Kelsey Vitalis handled the final two innings and was charged with the loss.
