Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Felician University senior Susie McKeever (North Fort Myers, Fla.) scored her first career goal, but the Golden Falcons were defeated, 21-1, by host Holy Family University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse action on Wednesday afternoon at Tiger Field.
McKeever helped Felician, a first-year program, avoid the shutout in its first conference game. She tallied on a free-position shot with one minute, 27 seconds, remaining in the contest. It was the Golden Falcons' only shot attempt of the afternoon.
Felician sophomore goalkeeper Kathleen Britanak (Toms River, N.J.) faced 36 shots and made nine saves. Freshman Liana Chirichiello (Waldwick, N.J.) led the Golden Falcons (0-2, 0-1 CACC) with five ground balls and junior Candice Williams (Linden, N.J.) added four.
Holy Family (1-8, 1-0) scored three times in the game's first 90 seconds. The Tigers extended to a 7-0 edge after 10 minutes, and forced the running clock with a 10-0 lead with 16:19 left in the first half. The Tigers carried a 14-0 advantage into halftime.
Senior Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa.) led HFU with five goals and added an assist. Sophomore Rose Bachmeyer (Philadelphia, Pa.) turned in three goals, three assists and six ground balls, and freshman Dana Trevito (Voorhees, N.J.) finished with four goals, one assist, and four draw controls.
