Box Score 2 LYNDHURST, N.J. – The Felician University softball team scored four runs without recording an out in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped by a walk-off two-run single by freshman Mia Montoya (Cypress, Calif./John F. Kennedy), to earn a 6-5 victory over visiting Holy Family University in Game 1 of the teams' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at Matera Field.
Holy Family (15-15-1, 9-7 CACC) came back to win Game 2, 9-1, in five innings.
With the split, Felician (14-22, 8-12) was left in a tie for eighth place in the 14-team CACC with six conference games left to play. The top eight teams at season's end will qualify for the league playoffs.
Behind the pitching of sophomore right-hander Ashley Owens (Lockport, N.Y./Starpoint), Felician led, 2-0, after five innings of Game 1. But the Tigers moved ahead in the top of the sixth on a two-out, three-run triple by sophomore second baseman Jennifer Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County). HFU tacked on two more runs in the seventh on an RBI triple by Taylor Favinger (Deptford, N.J./GCIT) followed by Alexis Maggi's (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) sacrifice fly.

Racquel Manzo (Whittier, Calif./La Habra) led off the bottom of the seventh with a walk, and singles by
Zeaenna Brackett (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) and
Jackie Dueñas (Riverside, Calif./Arlington) loaded the bases.
Amanda Lopez (Riverbank, Calif./Riverbank) delivered an RBI single, and another run scored on an outfield error, leaving runners on second and third. Montoya then lifted a single to right-center field to end the game.
Owens (8-9) gave up two earned runs on nine hits in a complete-game effort, and Brackett and Dueñas were each 2 for 4 for the Golden Falcons. Favinger and freshman Samantha Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) had two hits each for Holy Family.
The Tigers started quickly in Game 2, playting two runs in the first inning before an RBI triple by Favinger and a two-run homer from Klem highlighted a four-run top of the second. Klem homered again in the third inning as HFU scored twice more to extend to an 8-0 edge.
Felician received an RBI double from Montoya in the fourth inning, but the Tigers restored their eight-run lead in the fifth on an RBI single by Maggi. Felician was retired in order in the bottom of the fifth.
Holy Family junior pitcher Bailey Walters (Ridgecrest, Calif./Burroughs) (7-7) worked four innings for the win, giving up three hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Klem finished 3 for 4 with four RBI during HFU's 10-hit attack.
