Box Score WATERBURY, Conn. – Felician University sophomore goalkeeper Kathleen Britanak (Toms River, N.J.) made a season-high 14 saves, but could not prevent the Golden Falcons from losing to host Post University, 16-0, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse action on Thursday afternoon at LaMoy Field.
Post (1-13, 1-7) amassed a 37-1 shots advantage for the day. The Eagles tallied seven goals in the game's first five minutes, including three from sophomore Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.). The hosts led, 11-0, at halftime.
Felician freshman Liana Chirichiello (Waldwick, N.J.) recorded season highs of 10 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. She also got off the Golden Falcons' only shot, a second-half attempt which was saved by Eagle goalie Rachel Lancaster (Plainville, Conn.)
Deren (one assist) and Jordyn Woltmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) scored three goals apiece for Post, which featured 11 different goal scorers. Sophomore midfielder Sam Rodriguez (Wayne, N.J.) registered five points on a goal and four assists.
Freshman Cassidy Charles (Irvington, N.J.) led the Golden Falcons (0-8, 0-6) with three draw controls. Britanak and Sami Lederle (Brick, N.J.) picked up three ground balls each.
