LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Freshman midfielder Liana Chirichiello (Waldwick, N.J.) set a Felician University single-game record with three goals, but the Golden Falcons were defeated by host Georgian Court University, 16-3, on Saturday afternoon on the GCU campus.

Chirichiello tallied all three of her goals in the final 13 minutes of the game for Felician (0-9, 0-7 CACC), a first-year program. She took all four of the Golden Falcons' shots, and also led her team with four ground balls, four draw controls, and two caused turnovers.

Georgian Court (5-11, 5-3) amassed a 37-4 shots advantage for the day, including 24-1 in the opening period. It led, 5-0, after 13 minutes of action, and 9-0 at halftime. The Lions tallied four more times in the first 10 minutes of the second half, and led by as much as 14-0 before Chirichiello put the Golden Falcons on the scoreboard with 12:21 to play.

Junior Melissa Williams (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) led GCU with six points on four goals and two assists. Sophomore Kyanna Chandler (Jackson, N.J.) netted three goals and two assists.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kathleen Britanak (Toms River, N.J.) made 13 saves and added three ground balls for the Golden Falcons.
