HILLBURN, N.Y. – The Felician University women's lacrosse team was defeated, 19-0, by host Dominican (N.Y.) College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday afternoon at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. The game marked the beginning of the 2022 CACC schedule for both schools.

Felician (1-6, 0-1 CACC) was held to two shots, four ground balls, and six draw controls on the day. Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Bain (Hamilton, Ontario) made 12 saves.

Freshman Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) had a goal and eight assists for Dominican (5-2, 1-0), which led, 9-0 after one period. Classmate Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) scored a game-high five goals with an assist.

Tala Marzooq (Ewing, N.J.) had three draw controls, and Janea Kelty (West Milford, N.J.) collected two draw controls and three caused turnovers for the Golden Falcons, who were shut out for the first time since a 17-0 loss at Lewis University on Mar. 6, 2020.

Felician hosts Chestnut Hill College on Friday at noon at Tryon Field in Rutherford, N.J.
