RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Edinboro University scored the game's final four goals to grind out a 6-3 non-conference women's lacrosse victory over host Felician University on Tuesday morning at Tryon Field.

Sophomore Janea Kelty (West Milford, N.J./St. Mary-Rutherford) scored twice for Felician (1-3) and classmate Raquel Vilas (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) tallied the other Golden Falcon goal. Kelty also led all players with seven draw controls.

Kelty found the cage with nine minutes, 40 seconds, left in the second quarter, to give the hosts a 3-2 lead. But the Golden Falcons would not score again for the balance of the contest. Felician remained on top until Edinboro's Abigail Juzwick (Allison Park, Pa./Shaler Area) knotted the score with 1:01 to go until halftime.

The defenses dominated period three. Neither team put a goal on the scoreboard, and Felician held the Fighting Scots to a single shot attempt. But Edinboro's Lexi Boyk (Hiram, Ohio/Berkshire) found the eventual game-winner 1:58 into the fourth. The visitors scored again at the 10:45 and 5:35 marks, and Fighting Scot goalkeeper Kaitlyn Binotto (Canonsburg, Pa./Seton La Salle) made eight of her 13 saves after halftime.

Sophomore Nicole Jenal (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) led Felician with seven ground balls and tied a school record with seven caused turnovers. The teams combined for 60 turnovers (33-27 Edinboro) as compared to 39 shots (23-16 Felician). Golden Falcon goalie Lauren Bain (Hamilton, Ontario/Bishop Ryan) had six saves and three ground balls.

Felician returns home on Mar. 15 to take on American International College at noon in Rutherford.
