Box Score BUFFALO, NY – In a brisk Saturday morning non-conference contest, the Golden Falcons were defeated, 15-1, by D'Youville. Felician would close out the first half of play with no goal, but would eventually put a point on the board in the third.
Tala Marzooq (Ewing, NJ) and Julia Ravazza (Dublin, CA) would record four shots apiece for the Golden Falcons, but Ravazza caged the lone goal of the contest for the green-and-gold. Felician was outshot 26-18 and Felician keeper Ilyanna Rivera (Waterford, CT) saved 5 host shots.
D'Youville would have a high scoring first quarter with six goals to ultimately add onto the advantage with 3 more to enter intermission with a 9-0 lead. Midway through the third quarter, Amanda Ramirez (Manchester, NJ) would record a ground ball to then set up Ravazza for the lone Felician goal of the contest.
In the final stanza, the Golden Falcons were unable to net another to relieve them of the deficit, but D'Youville closed out with the 15-1 win.
Felician women's lacrosse is now 1-3 overall and will be back in action on March 15 to play American International at 1:00pm.
