Box Score BRIDGEPORT, CT – Felician women's lacrosse was handed the on the road loss by the University of Bridgeport as the Golden Falcons dropped 17-5 Tuesday night.
Mia Bonner (Cherry Hill, NJ), Mary Gazaleh (East Windsor, NJ), Janea Kelty (West Milford, NJ), Julia Ravazza (Dublin, CA) and Paige Merz (Ogdensburg, NY) each posted a goal in the contest. Bonner ignited the Felician offense to put the squad on the board first with a goal assisted by Merz. Throughout the first quarter, the hosts were battling with the green-and-gold to enter the second with a tie score at three.
The Purple Knights started to pull away from the Golden Falcons as they caged four goals to hold a 7-3 advantage until Gazaleh and Ravazza netted a goal to chip away at the lead to enter halftime trailing 7-5.
The Golden Falcons were held to only five goals for the remainder of the contest as the Purple Knights rallied to run away with the 17-5 conference win.
Amanda Ramirez (Manchester, NJ) and Kelty had recorded three caused turnovers apiece while Tala Marzooq (Ewing, NJ) had two.
Women's lacrosse dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in the CACC. The Golden Falcons will be back in action on Saturday, April 1, to travel to Chestnut Hill for another conference match-up at 7:00pm.
