Women's Lacrosse Dropped to Wilmington on the Road

WILMINGTON, DEL – Felician women's lacrosse hit the road to face Wilmington (Del.) for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up in Delaware. The green-and-gold ultimately dropped in the morning contest, 18-4.

Midway through the second quarter the Golden Falcons were in a 12-goal deficit. Tala Marzooq (Ewing, NJ) clinched the first goal for the green-and-gold to enter intermission trailing 13-1.

The game was soon put to a stoppage due to lightning with 7 minutes left to play in the contest. An official game is recorded when three quarters have been completed and during the beginning of the fourth, Marzooq and Mary Gazaleh (East Windsor, NJ) caged the final Felician goals before the game was called.

Marzooq finished with two goals on three shots and one assist while Gazaleh finished with two goals on two shots.

Women's lacrosse dropped to 2-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The squad will be back in action next Wednesday, April 19, to host Caldwell at noon at Tryon Field.
