Lyndhurst, N.J. - The Golden Falcons earned a split with No. 14 Jefferson University on Thursday afternoon at Breslin Field.
Game One
With a commanding outing from starting pitcher
Max Weber and a big offensive first inning, the team rolled to a 6-1 victory. Felician struck early, plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead before an out was recorded. A pair of singles from
Jaxson Wall and
Luis DeLaCruz set the tone, while
Chris Corchado,
Haiden Walters and a Jefferson error contributed to the early offensive burst. DeLaCruz drove in Wall with an RBI single in the second inning and later singled again in the sixth as Felician capitalized on a Jefferson miscue to push the lead to 6-0. Weber was stellar on the mound, tossing six shutout innings while allowing one hit and striking out 12.
