Upper Chichester, PA - Felician swept its doubleheader at Holy Family with a dominant 14-4 win in Game 1 and a gritty 4-3 victory in Game 2, combining explosive offense, clutch pitching, and clean defense to cap a statement day on the road.
Game One
Felician delivered a dominant all-around performance in a 14-4 victory over Holy Family in game one. The Golden Falcons came out swinging, scoring in six of seven innings to steadily pull away and secure the win. They jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings, added two more in the third, and capped their offensive explosion with back-to-back three-run efforts in the sixth and seventh frames. Felician's offense tallied 15 hits, with production coming from every spot in the lineup.
Rocko Brzezniak led the charge with a perfect 4-for-4 day that included a home run, three RBIs, four runs scored, a walk, and two stolen bases.
Haiden Walters added a home run of hisown, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs.
Bryan Santana contributed two hits and two RBIs while playing error-free defense with four putouts and three assists.
Chris Corchado went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and
Matthew Scrivanic added a double, a walk, and four assists at shortstop.
Christian Bauman sparked the offense with a triple and a run scored. On the mound,
Logan Waltz earned the win, pitching six solid innings and allowing just four earned runs on eight hits while striking out five.
Kyle Bednarski finished the game with a clean seventh, giving up only one hit. As a team, Felician stole four bases, drew four walks, and was hit by a pitch three times, while committing zero errors in the field. Felician earned a hard-fought 4-3 in game two, thanks to a balanced effort from the Golden Falcons. After falling behind early, the Golden Falcons responded with two runs in the second inning and another in the third to take a 3-2 lead. Holy Family tied the game in the fourth, but Felician showed composure down the stretch, plating the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and locking in defensively to seal the win. Felician totaled 11 hits, four RBIs, and three stolen bases on the day while committing just one error defensively.
Chris Corchado led the offensive effort, going 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored.
Haiden Walters also delivered at the plate and in the field, finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI and two defensive assists.
