Baseball Sweeps Third Consecutive CACC Opponent

Lakewood, NJ - Felician delivered a dominant 16–1 victory over Georgian Court, and secured an 18-2 victory in game two. 

Game One

Felician delivered a commanding 16-1 victory over Georgian Court, combining explosive offense, dominant pitching, and clean defense to secure a decisive win. The offense was led by designated hitter Chris Corchado, who went 2-for-4, including a grand slam that highlighted an eight-run sixth inning, tallying five RBIs and breaking the game wide open. Center fielder Jaxson Wall added to the onslaught with a 3-for-4 performance, including a triple, two RBIs, three runs scored, and a stolen base, showcasing his versatility. Third baseman Haiden Walters contributed significant power, going 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two RBIs, and three runs scored. On the mound, NCBWA East Region Pitcher of the Week, Max Weber once again had a dominant outing. Weber pitched five innings of one-hit ball, allowing just one earned run, and striking out seven to earn his seventh win of the season. The team's defense was impeccable, with twenty-one putouts, eight assists, and zero errors.

Game Two

Felician delivered a commanding performance in the second game. The Golden Falcons exploded for  eighteen runs on seventeen hits, scoring in five consecutive innings and turning a tight contest into a blowout by the late frames. The turning point came in the fourth inning, where a six-run surge, capped by a grand slam from third baseman Haiden Walters gave Felician full control. They followed that with four more runs in the fifth and five in the sixth, showcasing relentless pressure and clutch hitting throughout the order. Walters led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-5 with seven RBIs, a home run, a stolen base, and a sacrifice fly. Shortstop Matthew Scrivanic had a solid game from the bottom of the lineup, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, two RBIs, four runs scored, and five defensive assists. Center fielder Jaxson Wall sparked the top of the order with a 2-for-3 performance that included two RBIs, three runs, a double, a walk, and two stolen bases. Rocko Brzezniak also contributed with two hits and a pair of RBIs, while starting pitcher Nathan Ruth continued his strong season with five efficient innings, allowing just two earned runs on four hits and striking out three without issuing a walk, earning his third win of the year. Defensively, Felician played clean baseball with no errors and turned one double play. Overall, the team tallied six doubles, a triple, and a homer while stealing three bases and drawing six walks.
