No. 25 Felician Mounts A Late Game Comeback To Open The Super Regional Round

Rindge, NH - Felician University opened the NCAA East Super Regional with a thrilling 9–8 victory over Franklin Pierce. In a tightly contested,  the Golden Falcons once again displayed resilience as they mounted another impressive late game comeback.

Franklin Pierce capitalized on Felician's slow start, jumping out to a 4–0 lead by the second. Felician clawed back in the fourth with two runs, then surged ahead momentarily with a three-run sixth inning. The Golden Falcons tacked on two runs in the eighth and completed the rally with a go-ahead run in the bottom of the ninth. Timely hits with runners on base defined Felician's performance in the late innings. Their ability to stay composed and take advantage of opportunities in the closing moments ultimately made the difference.

In the bottom of the ninth, Felician wasted no time applying pressure. Jaxson Wall led off with a clutch double down the right-field line, immediately putting the potential winning run in scoring position. Haiden Walters followed with a disciplined plate appearance, drawing a walk to set the table for a dramatic finish. Pinch hitter Neisser Sanchez then came to the plate and reached first on a costly error by the pitcher. The miscue allowed both Wall and Walters to come around and score, securing a walk-off victory and capping an exhilarating comeback for the Golden Falcons.

Felician's win was led by several key performers. Haiden Walters delivered another standout performance, going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, three runs scored, and a walk, serving as both a run producer and a consistent presence on base. Luis DeLaCruz anchored the middle of the lineup with an explosive 3-for-4 effort, launching a three run home run and driving in three total runs to lead the offensive charge. Anthony Lamar and Andrew DeAngelis each added timely hits, both going 1-for-4 with an RBI apiece to help sustain scoring throughout the game. On the pitching side, Kyle Bednarski was dominant in relief, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings without allowing a hit, stabilizing the game during a critical middle stretch. Gavin Enright closed the door for Felician, earning the win with a hitless relief appearance that included one strikeout.

As they take a 1–0 lead in the best-of-three Super Regional, the Golden Falcons now stand just one win away from punching their ticket to Cary, North Carolina, and the NCAA Division II Championship. Backed by clutch performances and unwavering resilience, Felician has positioned itself on the doorstep of the program's most significant postseason achievement to date.
