Rindge, NH - Felician University took the field for Game Two of the NCAA East Super Regional against Franklin Pierce. Despite entering the contest with a chance to clinch a spot in the NCAA Division II Championship, the Golden Falcons fell short, suffering an 18–7 loss.
The Golden Falcons got on the board early with a first-inning run, but momentum quickly shifted as Franklin Pierce struck for four runs in the second and added two more in the third. Felician fought back with a three-run fourth inning, highlighted by key hits that brought them within striking distance. However, a six-run outburst by Franklin Pierce in the bottom half of the fourth put the game out of reach. Felician added runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings, but defensive lapses and walks continued to fuel Franklin Pierce's scoring.
Despite the outcome, several Golden Falcons turned in strong individual performances. Shortstop
Jaxson Wall went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and a walk. Freshman second baseman B.ryan Santana delivered standout effort, finishing 2-for-3 with a solo home run, one RBI, and one hit-by-pitch. Right fielder Jose David Medrano led the team in RBIs, driving in three runs with a 2-for-4 performance that included a home run and a double. First baseman
Anthony Lamar showed plate discipline, reaching base three times on a hit and two walks while adding an RBI. Catcher/first baseman
Luis DeLaCruz chipped in with a 2-for-5 showing and scored a run, continuing to provide production in the heart of the lineup.
With the series now tied 1–1, Felician will head into a decisive Game 3 with their trip to the College World Series on the line.
